At VL we believe the best place for a person to connect and grow is in a Small Group. Small groups consist of 10-15 people who meet weekly in homes during the school year to grow in their relationship with God and connect with others through relationship, study, and prayer.
When and Where Do Small Groups Meet?
They meet in host homes all over our area. More than likely you will not have to drive more than 20 minutes to attend. Most meet once a week on a set time and day of the week for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Is Childcare Provided?
It depends upon the group. Most of our groups do have childcare in place. Some groups choose to have a dedicated sitter for the entire group, while in other groups each parent arranges their own childcare.
What Happens at Small Group?
Groups vary, but a basic group meeting consists of some social time with some light food on the front end. Then the group transitions into a discussion based on a particular study or topic of interest. Groups typically end with a time of group prayer, followed by a little more social time at the end before the group disperses.
How Do I Get Into a Small Group?
We typically do Group Connect events in the Spring and Fall, but there are also opportunities to join a group at other times during the year as openings arise. To inquire about joining a group, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
